Best Note Taking App Ever

I use Audionote almost on a daily basis from staff meetings to taking notes in Church. For training techs and team members it is the best. I recommend Audionote to every person that I know as the best note taking app. Great job I look forward to reseaching more business tools in the future Thanks

Awesome! But...

I just updated the app on my laptop, and its crashing everytime I open it! I need it for school tomorrow! Please help ASAP, and Ill give 5 stars!

All there and just works

This is a superb app. I have tried others, and found them confusing and lacking needed features. This one is well designed and has what I need for effective note taking. The audio indexing is brilliant. Bravo.

Crashes too much

This program is indispensibe, WHEN IT WORKS. But like another commentor, it crashes repeatedly. This happens every time I switch programs. Luckily, it appears to recover my notes and recordings up to the point of the crash. But this makes it very unreliable. I still like the program but it borders on being unusable because of this. Please fix this and I will glady rate this 5 stars.

Fantastic app for any note takers

I kick myself every day for not coming up with a program like this earlier, but then I go back to using Audionote every day. I’m a reporter and cover loads and loads of meetings and this program has been an absolute lifesaver whether it’s at a busy meeting, one-on-one interview or going back over and transcripting audio files from handheld audio recorders. The team has also been exceptional with responding to bugs or other hitches that I’ve seen in the three years of using Audionote. I can’t recommend this program more for anyone, reporters or students or whoever.

incrediably helpful

This is an outstanding App. I’ve been using it for almost a year now and I love it. I use it for recording and taking notes. it allows me to refer back to areas that I need to review simply and quickly. It also allows me to expand my notes on particular areas that I need to or to elaborate and know what particular place in the talk I’m referring to.

Invaluable

Love this tool. I just wish you could change the font size of the text in the note. I use this ALL THE TIME. Keep up the great work folks.

Buggy

Constant updates and now buggy, wont open, forced me to review it - the pop up for review wouldnt close without review sooo here it is, boo!

I like this! to take a note in class

it is very handy to use taking note!! I highly recommend tihs apps!

Ecellent Note taking Functionality

Keeps track of both the conversation time and the length of the meeting and allows you to know the context of what ever you had typed by moving the cursor to where the text in the notepad is.

Always dependable

Easy to use. Sound quality is great. Syncs well to the cloud. Very easy to export audio for use in other applications.

Better than anything I’ve seen yet

Easy to use. Intuitive. Rapid response technical support. Continuous improvements in the product make customer loyalty easy.

Does what it says

Minor bug but developer response was immediate and the app, while not exactly the pinnacle of elegant design, does what it advertises. One suggestion: it could use a button to back up 10 or 15 seconds from the current location — when I am cleaning up my notes by listening to a recording and typing in missed words, I always fall behind and have to stop the playback, move the slider back and press play again. A back-up button to shortcut this would be a welcome addition.

Excellent for Note Taking and Recording

I can take notes and record at the same time, go back and add to my notes what I missed. I can just record without taking notes. I can take notes and not record. I appreciate very much the options. I have been using this app for about a year and have had no problems at all. I take notes every week, twice a week. It always works!

missing much more

This app is good but there is so much more I wish would be added to the app. Basic features such as difffernt font, different font size, different text colors, double spacing is missing. This app can be the ultimate Note taking applicaiton if it had these few items.

Great Product, Even Better Customer Service

I just started using AudioNotes a few days ago and have found it very user friendly and helpful. It does everything i expected it to. I was experiencing one glitch (more user error than anyting else) and sent a question to their customer service. Within hours I had a response from someone that both helped me solve my problem and made more suggestions based on my question. I highly recommend this product, both for the Mac and for the iPad/iPhone.

A Tease With SO Much Potential

I love the concept of this app, but some very basic features–being able to center text, to name one–are absent. Another important feature in note taking, the outline mode, is so unbelieveably clunky and unintuitive that the app is a frustrating tease. With so many programs (evernote, etc) and word processors that have incredibly easy and intuitive formatting features, why try to reinvent the wheel? One last suggestion would be to enable basic keyboard shortcuts that work across all other mac apps (ex: ⌘^ works but not ⌘‹/⌘›). With a more intuitive, less clunky formatting, this app would easily get 5+

…This is the worst simple program that I’ve ever used

There’s no way that I can tell or get a direct answer whether or not it is possible to email the text and audio. I had to use Dragon to get a kick started and keep it from time timing out. I finally learned how to use the dictation and while I was using it close Dragon but was unable to start dictation again on the same folder like adding more information and search the help database and there is no direct answer as to how you can attach the file to an email when it is only in one format and I don’t believe it is set up for it since they will not give you a direct answer. All that I am talking about should be extremely simple as it is not a complicated program and can be used to dictating emails and almost illuminate the need for Dragon by it has timeout issues and spelling issues and the grammar is off the program does not know how to spell or the I should say it doesn’t know when it is spelled correctly as it shows underlined correctly spelled words when there’s nothing wrong with grammar or spelling but the main thing that would make this a great program would be to have a friend here my voice and be able to see my email to same time as you get a lot more out of note taking, or reading a letter when it’s actually read to you and that is just a fact of life that is given up in childhood but it rings true that the words have more meaning when you can hear the person who have written them speak them. Why should such a simple program be so hardAnd for the money it still was not worth it unless there is just something simple I am missing that Apple tends to always assume that you know. Programmers are assuming that everyone thinks or is educated like a programmer when we actually have lives and we use these programs to enhance her life and not take it over

KISS Too many “features"

On my laptop I couldn’t get simple dictation to work. Recording sound meter was active but playback was silent. Worthless “help” link. Want my $5 back.

Nice but...

Nice concept but would be better if you could change color/size of text and position it where you need it instead of just on the left hand side. But love how you can record while taking notes and how whenever you type while recording, the time shows up next to it for reference.
