RELIABLE!
I use AudioNote on two Apple computers and my iPhone, mostly to record audio and notes on long, technical meetings. After more than 5 years of use I am totally committed to these apps. They handle long stretches of audio without any difficulties. Files go between iOS and OS X seamlessly. (The built-in file sharing system is a little weird, but I just use DropBox.) It’s easy to get to a specific piece of audio: just click on a word in your notes and you are there.
I used to use Notebook view in MS Word and had horrible reliability problems with audio recording — lots of crashing and losing all my data, and embarrasing interruptions to business meetings. Not once have I lost anything with AudioNote. User interface has a few confusing points (like you can’t type text until you are in text mode). And the way formatting is handled with cut and paste text from other applications is frustrating. Also, I don’t really have much experience with the drawing tools, and have yet to figure out how to modify or delete objects once they are drawn. But the reliability and versitility of the basic apps for iOS and OS X makes up for the drawbacks.
